For me it is uplifting, as well as relaxing. It lifts my mood and creates a sense of peace. I prefer the traditional method with medium grind. I stopped drinking alcohol over three years ago and I wouldn’t say that Kava can replace the feeling of alcohol but it does give a noticeable feeling of calm and very mild euphoria that is centered and connected. I often take it as a spiritual elixir for meditation or journaling. I have tried a few different Kavas from one other company with similar prices and Kalm with Kava is the best.

Kava was recommended to me by one our doctors as I work in research with many physicians. I started buying from Amazon and NO ME GUSTA. So I heard about Kalm With Kava, actually I did not hear, I was at a Kava Bar where they were serving Kava in Coconut Shells. I peeked towards back there and saw the brand. I googled it and here I am. Now to my review:

Borongoru is less heady for me, however it does help me go to sleep better. If you need your brain to stop, this is the one. For me I have to squeeze or strain with my pouch about 4 Table Spoons of it with warm water which yields me about two tall glasses of about 18 Oz each. It takes more than that to put me to sleep as well as get on the heady side. I have tried them ALL. I have to say Borongoru makes me less nauseous and I tolerate it better. Adding crystal light water flavoring a teaspoon makes it better. I have also added a grape juice concentrate and I call it a Kangria for Sangria but alcohol free. So I gave it 4 stars, all make it 4 stars or better.

Getting over the taste took some trial and error, but I got there. (Eggnog is my friend.) After doing the traditional method a couple of times, I’ve switched to the blender method, and that is much easier and is now my preference. Full body calm. I have taken this when my PTSD has gotten really bad, and it calmed me within 20 minutes. Very grateful.

Not best tasting but not worse. Get the numb tongue effect. Helps me unwind after table spoon.Redose about 3/4 hour later though not necessary. Calming effect, doesn’t help me sleep though. I will. Be buying more to have on those extra stressful situations/ days. Good job Kalm with kava. Also my 1st experience with any kind of kava. RECOMMENDED!!!!!
