This Borogu is some fantastic root (August 2025). Made 1 liter with 50 gr root, kneaded for 15 mins with room temp water in a salad bowl with 80 micron filter bag. This leans on the heavy side. Not very much headiness to speak of, just relaxation. Taste is peppery licorice. Very nice Friday evening relax at home after a stressful week kind of kava. 20-30 minute shell spacing.

Unbelievably strong, to my system at least. Made me very nauseous drinking it, and for hours afterwards. But super strong in a good way too. That being said, I had just drank two 1oz (of kava powder) shells of Loa Waka over the course of 2 hours, so I already had some in my system. Be careful with this. If you mix strong shells like I do, make your shells of Borogu weaker, you might thank me later. Best bang for your buck!

I’m not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed. Not majorly so but a little. It’s just not potent. There isn’t much of a tingle on the tongue and the effects are kind of weak unless I use a lot. If it cost 10 bucks less it wouldn’t be a problem but I have to use so much that I’d rather buy other more potent kavas and get more bang for my buck. Maybe it’s just the way this strain works on me.

You can’t go wrong with Borogu. It’s my go to kava for sleep and anxiety relief. It’s always been consistent and I’ve never been disappointed with the effects.

Ordered this stuff a few weeks back.
I tried it a few times using anywhere from 6-8 tbsp.
Definitely get the effects but I always got sick after and that nausea masked the good feelings.
Stopped using it for a few weeks and decided to try again tonight.
Finally figured out the secret for me! You have to pace your shells out. Really wait 20-30 min to see how your feeling.
Before I would just chug it all within 30 min.
Tonight I drank 8 tbsp worth it over 2 hrs and it really works. I fee very chill and relaxed and I have a tingling in my legs just feeling really heavy and relaxed.
Give this stuff a try but maybe pace yourself so you don’t get dizzy. Bula!

Very balanced and alleviates pain as well as helps me relax without knocking me out. Kalm is the best of the best

Probably my favourite kava, very fresh and just the right amount of peppery tones. Begins very heady then balances out and moves to the body. Would buy again. So fresh and delicious!
